Robin B. of Meridian, Idaho noticed that her home floors were uncomfortably cold. Upon further inspection it was determined that Robin’s vented dirt crawl space was not insulated properly, and had excess moisture that we causing her to be uncomfortable.
Robin found Foundation SupportWorks of Idaho and made the call. An appointment was set for her to meet with one our System Design Specialists to inspect the crawl space and determine what could be done to make her home more comfortable and efficient, as well as address the excess moisture in the crawl space.
Our expert recommended that she install a CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System with SilverGlo insulation panels and a SaniDry dehumidifier.
SilverGlo is an insulation panel that is used to insulate the crawl space walls and help keep the cold, or hot, air out of the crawl space. The Clean Space Liner is used to completely seal the crawl space from the outside, creating a clean, dry area that is resistant to moisture penetration and greatly increases the efficiency of a home’s HVAC system. The SaniDry dehumidifier helps keep the crawl space dry by filtering out moisture in the air, and also helps clean the air inside of the home.
Since having her CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation system installed, Robin has noticed that her home is more comfortable and that her HVAC system has to work less to maintain a comfortable temperature. She no longer has those icy cold floors!
Amy A. from Middleton fell in love with a home built in the late 60s, it was everything she ever wanted. She started to do some remodeling to the exterior of the home and noticed stair-step cracking in the brick. She could tell that the previous owner had attempted to fill the cracks but she knew that filling the cracks or covering the cracks up would only be a band-aid fix. She stated to pay more attention to the out side of her dream home and noticed a gap between the chimney and the side of her home. Worried that there could be an issue with the foundation she reached out to us for help.
Shortly after calling Foundation Supportworks she met with Mike T. one of the teams most quailied foundation specialist. Mike was able to confirm Amys worries of a foundation issue. He let her know that the chimney was not built on the same foundation as the home and that made it even more at risk of having foundation issues. Mike was able to walk around the home and noticed some of the doors and windows sticking. Amy, like most homeowners had notice the doors sticking but she thought it was just because the home was old. Mike gave her an onsite estimation to have her issue not only repaired but to prevent it from ever coming back.
Once the job was finished we followed up with Amy and found that she was very happy with the work done on her home. She said that she felt a lot safer and could enjoy her dream home even more now!
Jason W. of Kuna was aware of the cracks in his basement walls but never really stopped twice think twice about the cracks being a huge issue. One day Jason was in his basement pulling out the holiday decoration, when he noticed one of the box sitting in water. He looked around and found a puddle of water in the back corner of the basement. Jason wondered how this water could have gotten there. After some investigating it was obvious. Water was coming from the cracks in the wall.
Over the years Jason watched the cracks grow and grow so he knew this issue was only going to get worse. Jason jumped on to our website for some help. Two days later Mike T. our Design Specialist was in Jason basement coming up with a plan to stop the leak.
FlexiSpan! Mike could tell that the cracks could be repaired using FlexiSpan. FlexiSpan seals the cracks and provides a built-in secondary repair strategy in case the seal fails.
Now Jason will no longer have to worry about water damaging his belongings or a crack in the basement getting any bigger. He is even thinking about finishing his basement so he can enjoy his new crack free space for years to come!
Last week we received a call from Chuck. Chuck was very upset when we first spoke. He told us about how he was trying to sell his house and was not having any luck. Chuck said “I don’t understand, it’s a 10 year old house in Eagle, it shouldn't be this hard to sell.” so we started to ask questions. It turns out that every time a prospective buyer would send an inspector to examine the house, the crawlspace wouldn’t pass. That’s why Chuck called us!
Chuck's home had standing water along the perimeter of the crawlspace and the black vapor barrier had been ripped down. Thankfully during that first call we were able to set an appointment with our System Design Specialist to visit Chuck and take a look at the affected area.
Our expert quickly put together a plan to remove all of the water from the crawl space and prevent this issue from ever coming back. First, suggested instalingl a SuperSump sump pump to remove the water from the crawl space and back out to the yard. However, because the water was standing along the perimeter of the crawl space we also needed to add a SmartPipe system to move that standing water the direction of the sump.
Now that the water was being removed from the space and diverted into the lawn we could move on to step two: Isolate the house from the earth. This is when we used our CleanSpace product! Most vapor barriers are 6 mil polyethylene that can easily rip and get holes poked in it when you crawl on it. That’s not the case with CleanSpace! CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner, similar to pool liner, that can be fitted in your crawl space to completely seal off your home from the earth and moiture in the ground.
By the time we had finished with Chuck's crawl space, he was able to not only quickly sell the house, but he was able to get more than the original asking price! Chuck called us with the great news and to thank our system design specialist and the team for helping him out of this wet situation.
Rose from Caldwell has lived in her home for over 25 years and the first time she found water in her crawl space she called a company to add a vapor barrier. They told her the 6mil thick liner was the same liner everyone else installed in their homes and that was true. It was only 2 years later that while in her garden Rose notice an odd odor coming from the crawlspace; she took her flashlight and peered into the space. Rose was mortified!
The black vapor barrier was pull away from the perimeter of the crawlspace exposing the damp dirt and in one corner she could see a large puddle or water. In the large puddle she found mold growing on the wood post that held up her home and she could see the wood had started to rot away.
Rose was not only disgusted by the odor she was living above but she was also scared that the wooden post would snap! She knew that if the post snaped it would cause a ton of damage leaving her home unsafe.
Rose started to look for help; she didn’t want the normal 6 mil thick liner because she has seen how useless it was. She was looking for a real fix to her issue.
She came across our website and found our CleanSpace liner. CleanSpace which is 20 mil think and would seal her home off from the ground water. She also found our SmartJacks which are used to replace beams. She instantly called us and set an appointment for later that week.
For homes in farm areas such as Kuna, Caldwell, Emmett, Middleton, Nampa, Parma and Marsing ground water can be a huge issue. If you find water in your crawlspace or basement please give us a call! We give free estimates! And don’t forget your home will always be your biggest investment, keep it save and enjoyable for your family.
David from Boise spent all spring building his dream deck. David's brother in-law told him to dig a 3ft deep hole and fill it with concrete as the footing to support the structure above. Because his brother in-law is a contractor, David took his advice. By the end of spring David had his dream patio finish just in time for the summer.
Summer storms left 6 inches of water in David's back yard turning it in to a swamp. When the water was gone David walked around inspecting the damage. As he stood back away from the patio, he noticed it was lower on one end. He could see that the water had moved the soil down lower and now his newly built deck was less than perfect. He knew he could fix this issue but that it could turn into a reoccurring issue over the years and David was just ready to enjoy his deck.
David jumped on the web and searched in Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Mountain Home, Twin Falls, Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Garden City, Ontario and Pocatello. He was looking for a long-term stabilization product for his deck. He knew that with a long-term stabilization product he wouldn’t have to worry about this issue for a very long time.
That’s when David gave us a call!
We sent one of our foundation specialists out to look at the deck. Our EZ Post Helical Support System was exactly the product David was looking for! In addition to offering the utmost strength and stability, EZ Post offers many other benefits over traditional concrete footing. Installation can be completed year round. EZ Posts are also installed deeper than traditional concrete footings, making them less susceptible to changing moisture content in the soil. But what David loved the most was the 5 year warranty.
Now David can sit back and enjoy his deck year after year with no issues.
John in Coeur D Alene has a home up in near Huetter on the Snake River. Every few years he checks out his crawlspace just to make sure it’s in good shape, and every year the thin black 6 mil liner is hanging down in areas and serving no purpose. John has replaced the liner 5 times in the last 15 years! “I keep up on every area of my house because one day I plan to sale it” John said.
He started to look for a vapor barrier that would last longer and came with a great warranty. That’s when John found CleanSpace on our website! He gave us a call and we sent Jeff Smith one of our System Design Specialist out to meet with John. Jeff explained how CleanSpace could have such a long warranty. CleanSpace is a super durable: 20mil thick, 7-layer polyethylene composition, with polyester cord reinforcement. In other words…it was exactly what John was looking for.
Just a few weeks later the new liner was installed under John’s house, his crawlspace had never looked so great! John crawled around and inspected the work. He was amazed! “ I am able to use the space for storage now and not worry about ripping the liner, its great! “ John said when we followed up with him a few weeks later. He had even recommend Clean Space to friends and family in Boise, Lewiston, PostFalls and Mascow!

Melting snow and rain is great for Idaho, but bad for your property and can lead to water intrusion problems. This was the case when we received a call from the homeowner whose renter noticed water in his bedroom and bathroom in the basement.
Once the initial signs of water intrusion issues were recognized by the owner, our expert was able to go out and evaluate the home for solutions. Upon evaluation of the home, we determined a WaterGuard perimeter drain would catch unwanted water intrusion. We installed the drain along the perimeter of the bedroom and bathroom to effectively collect and keep water out. A SuperSump sump pump was also installed to remove collected water a safe distance from the house. With our expert's knowledge and experience, this owner's water problems were quickly solved.
We were contacted by homeowners in Eagle because their front porch had sunk a couple of inches. This sinking exposed the wood between the decorative stone and cement porch, which means the steps to the front entrance of their home were starting to ruin. With a quick call from the owners, our expert came to the scene to fix this issue for these concerned homeowners.
Once at the scene, our experts began installing push piers to stabilize and prevent the further sinking of the porch. With our expert's immense knowledge of the situation, we were able to solve this problem for these property owners in a timely fashion.
A homeowner had just closed on her new home. She bought it just a few days prior to us coming to visit. Her mom had called us to schedule a time to look at the floor in the house. There was a slope that was present that made it feel as if having to go uphill when walking throughout the home. The owner wanted repairs done to the structural supports under the floor prior to the new flooring that she was going to put in.
The cause of this sagging floor was a floor joist that did not have adequate support. To fix this issue, our installers set up a SmartJack to provide stability and minimize the slope in the floor. Now, this new homeowner can lay the new floor with confidence that the slope will no longer be of an issue.
Homeowners were getting their house ready to sell when they noticed a musty smell. They knew this was the result of a moisture problem, but unsure about the potential of mold or standing water, since they had yet to go into the crawl space. They gave us a call and we sent over our expert to take a look.
Our expert saw moisture saturated insulation that was beginning to fall, due to the amount of water it had absorbed. It was completely soaked. There was standing puddles throughout the crawlspace where condensation had pooled. The humidity levels were at seventy percent, but luckily there was no mold yet.
Our experienced installers put in seven vent covers to prevent warm, moist air, from entering the crawl space and condensing on cool pipes. We installed SaniDry Sedona, a dehumidifier that would pull out excess moisture from the air. Together with these products working, these homeowners can safely sell their house knowing the moisture problem was correctly addressed.
Homeowners' were concerned about their foundation which had settled. There was noticeable signs and damage from where the home had settled. Worried of further damage occurring, they gave us a call to see if we could fix the problem. We sent over our expert to analyze the situation.
We installed three of our Push Piers using a standard bracket, to add support to the foundation. Soil was excavated at each pier location to install these. Once the soil was back-filled and tamped, we were able to lift and restore the foundation. Now these owners will be worry free about their home settling any further.

Priscilla G. lives near the river. She noticed a crack in the foundation which is leading to the settlement of the foundation, it’s also allowing water to seep into the crawl space. She is looking for a permanent solution. The home was built in 1998. She first noticed the crack 5 years ago and noticed over time that the crack is getting bigger. With the settlement of the foundation in one corner of her home she also grew concerned with the drywall falling off the walls.
The major cause of the foundation settling, and cracking could be the clay soil which shrinks during dry seasons. Our solution was to install Push Piers which lifts and stabilizes the foundation by reaching the depths of competent load-bearing strata. The weight of the home is then carefully transferred from the original unstable soils, through the piers, to the competent soil or bedrock. This ensures no further settlement will occur and provides the best opportunity to lift her home back to its level position. This is all achieved with minimal disruption to the home or landscaping.
Now Priscilla can rest assure that her foundation is stable while keeping her home whole.

A homeowner in Boise noticed his foundation cracking and began wondering if his foundation was settling. There was a floor inside the house that was sagging, leaving a gap in a few places between the beautiful hardwood floor and the baseboards. Worried about his property, he contacted us in need of a permanent solution.
Our design specialist traveled to his home to evaluate the situation. We proposed Smartjacks to stabilize his floors, which he gratefully accepted. We quickly sent out our fabulous installation crew out and they successfully installed the Smartjacks, lifting the floors.

Becky M. Basement was flooding they search for a solution and called Foundation Supportworks of Idaho and found that there was more to just flooding there was something wrong with her foundation/floor.
The major components for Becky was for Foundation Supportworks to install, CleanSpace, a SupPump and Smart Jack Beams. which will completely enclose her basement and any water that may come in. The CleanSpace will essentially guide that water to the SupPump so that the pump can kick the water back out. Then the Jack Beams will make the floor above their basement level again and to make sure that it is always supported.
Now Becky can enjoy a dry, functional basement again. Foundation Supportworks of Idaho was pleased that they could solve Becky's problem.
Mr. Miller who lives in Eagle, ID was building a patio with a concrete foundation. He wanted us to install some Helical Piers to help stabilize the patio and to prevent any settling issues in the future. For this install, we put three Helical Piers in and the brackets are now able to stabilize the footings.
Ms. Palmgren had a single crack in her foundation, and she wanted to keep water from getting into her crawlspace. So we dug out the crack by removing the soil around her foundation and sealed the crack with Flexicock. By doing this seal it will now prevent any water from getting into her crawlspace.
Mr. Lind called because he had a concrete window well that was cracked and caving into the basement. So we excavated the soil behind the wall so we could get a better idea of what we were working with. The concrete wall was pushed off the footing by 5 1/2 inches. So we installed our Geo-Lock wall anchors, and we were able to straighten the wall and secure it from any further movement. Mr. Lind was very pleased that we could get the wall back to being straight.
Mr. Ktkinson called because he had water coming into his basement. He lived in a manufactured home that was leaking. There were cinderblocks on one side of the home and new ones on the other side of the house. The foundation was on an older farm house-single wide. When they put the double-wide home on, it was leaking shortly after they had moved in 2004. So they called because they need it to get fixed!
We found that the water was coming in from their egress window, so to fix this we installed a new Egress window well duct, Sump Pump and Waterguard and The Basement To Beautiful Panels
The Waterguard was installed to collect water and drain it to the Sump Pump
Sump Pump was installed to pump all the water out of the basement, as well to pump any further water from coming in.
The Basement To Beautiful Panels are engineered foam panels with integral studs, that are fastened directly to the foundation walls. The panel features a unique, advanced SilverGlo foam insulation with graphite infused throughout the foam. The graphite drives the insulation Value (or “R” value) of the foam up by approximately 24% over conventional Expanded Polystyrene foam by lowering its thermal conductivity.
Mr. Ktkinson was very pleased with the work! And left us a nice review on google
Ms. Henergy's house was sinking and she noticed her bathroom walls were cracking, because of the settling of the home. She gave us a call and we came up with the solution to install four Push Piers under the footing of the corner of the house.
We were able to lift and level out the corner of the house, which then pushed back the cracking into the bathroom. She was very happy to have the house back to being level as well as seeing the crack in her bathroom back together.
Mr. Conley - Gave us a call to see if we could be the answer to his problem! He told us he called everyone and no one seemed to be able to help him with his retaining wall.
His retaining wall is attached to the back porch and it was slowly pulling away from the house. So we dug out as far as we could see the crack and sealed it with Flexi-Cock. And then we installed Helical Piers on both sides to lift it back up his retaining wall. Happy to say we Foundation Supportworks of Idaho was able to fix his problem!
Water was entering their basement through two-bedroom walls. We installed Waterguard, SuperSump Pump, Lawnscape, and Iceguard.
The Waterguard was installed to drain the water to the SuperSump Pump. Lawnscape and Iceguard were installed to drain water away from the house and go towards the SuperSump Pump.
A homeowner in Eagle noticed he had two cracks in his garage foundation. The cracks went all the way through the garage and into the stucco.
We installed four Helical Piers around the garage to lift and stabilize it. We also installed Landscape wells to move water away from the structure and have it go down towards the rain gutters.
The homeowner gave us a call because the house is settling and cracking from the saturated ground.
We installed SmartPipe system with SmartSump to remove water from the crawlspace. We also installed Helical Piers with mechanical lift brackets. The brackets were installed to stabilize the staircase leading to the front door. The steps were starting to settle due to the saturated ground in the crawlspace
The customer was having issues with mice just recently and started re-mouse proofing his home using Extruder materials to eliminate entry into the house and garage. While cleaning his garage, he found a crawl space issue, especially around the pipes leading from the hot water; there is a huge piece of wallboard missing which appears to have happened during either hot water or furnace repair so the craw space is open in the garage. He wanted to have his crawl space inspected for further issues and hopefully repaired as needed.
So we installed smartpipe and smartsump to keep the water out of the crawlspace and to redirect the water to the lawn.
During the last heavy rainfall, there was moisture/water in the basement underneath the flooring. The homeowner first had a plumber come out and determine it was not a plumbing issue and that it was most likely a foundation crack.
The homeowner gave us a call to see if we can determine where it may be and get a for waterproofing the interior of her basement.
With this continuous flooding in the basement, we installed waterguard as well as a SumpPump.

NexusPro® is a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially engineered to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, which means it won't crack, bubble or dry.
Are you concerned with moisture in your crawlspace?
The SaniDry™ Sedona is the world's most efficient, high-performance dehumidifier and filtration system (without a bulky heat exchange core).
When installed in your basement or crawl space, the Sedona can help prevent mold and reduce musty odors, giving you dry healthy air and total comfort.
The Sedona is small in size, yet powerful enough to lower humidity in even the dampest environment, such as the basement or crawl space.
Is your crawlspace flooding?
We have a few products that would be great to install in your crawlspace to help prevent water from coming in and flooding it.
Crawl Space Sump Pump System:
The SmartSump™ crawl space drainage system is specially designed for crawl spaces. It has a lower profile than other pump packages, making installation in tight quarters easier.
At its heart, however, is the same high-quality 1/3hp Zoeller pump used in many of Basement Systems other pump packages.
This customer had an ongoing problem with his foundation that he could not fix on his own. His basement walls were failing and leaning inward. Finally, they called us to see if there was anything that we could do before they tried lifting their house and starting with a new foundation.
We sent our specialist out right away to find a solution. Once there, our specialist discovered that these customers had had a problem with water getting into their basement. This means that the ground outside the foundation walls was very saturated and not only causing his basement walls to fail but also allowed water into their home. The amount of weight and force against basement walls when the soils around the home are wet is enough to cause severe damage.
Our solution for our customer was to install our PowerBrace wall support system along with a full perimeter drainage system around his basement and CleanSpace down the walls to catch any water or moisture that could come in and guide it to the drainage system. These systems will ensure that not only will their basement stay permanently dry all of the time, that their walls are stabilized. The PowerBrace system can stop a wall, if caught in time, from moving forward anymore, and over time it can actually push the wall back to its original place by tightening the bracket installed at the top of each PowerBrace.
Tony is interested in encapsulation, he is not impressed with the vapor barrier that was installed & has learned about encapsulation online. There were past humidity issues in the crawlspace causing the insulation to fall down. Our solution was cleanspace vapor barrier encapsulation with a sedona dehumidifier. As you can see there is also water coming down the footing and we are able to stop that concern with a smartpipe perimeter system and sump.
This homeowner called in with concerns about moisture and mold in the crawlspace. The builders had checked for plumbing/pipe leaks and there were none; they suspect a high water table. There was no standing water, just moist, mushy ground throughout the crawlspace which can lead to mold and musty smells.
Our solution was to waterproof the crawlspace with our perimeter Smartpipe drainage system and Smartsump. We also recommended our Sedona Sanidry to dehumidify and keep mold growth at bay. To finish off the system we would do our cleanspace vapor barrier as an added benefit of controlling the moisture.
This homeowner has a house that had a basement dug out in it and was getting foundation leaks around some of the baseboards and on some of the drywall in the basement. The paint was bubbling and discolored which are signs of a wet basement, and you can see the dirt wall wet and crumbling.
Our solution was to install our Waterguard basement waterproofing system and simple sump!
Water comes in many forms, all which are harmful to your crawlspace! Standing water, water vapor, mildew, leaks coming in through cracks, you name it.. it all does damage.
In this crawlspace we're seeing basically all of the above. Water marks down the walls show either water leaking or high humidity levels forming water droplets to drip down and form water spots on the ground. The solution? Simple! A full perimeter drainage system, pump, and dehumidifier!!
A full perimeter drainage system will drain the water out of the crawlspace through the pump and back out where it belongs, outside! The dehumidifier will bring the humidity levels down which will help with moisture concerns as well as reduce chances of mold, insulation damage, allergen irritants, and the whole system combined will help reduce heating/cooling costs!!
Encapsulating your crawlspace correctly can make a HUGE difference in not only the appearance but you'll also notice changes in things like:
- Pest control
- Vapor control
- Heating/Cooling cost reduction
- Allergen reduction
and much more!!!
Seperating your home from the earth properly is very important and includes sealing the barrier around fixtures and beams, not just laying down a tarp. Our specialists know best and ensure they use not only the best products but the proper technique to make sure your crawlspace is air tight!

This family has water leaking into their basement from outside the home. You could see where the walls and baseboards in the basement were warping from all of the water. You can only imagine how bad this really could have looked if we did not come out any sooner. We were able to complete their install in one day so that they do not need to worry about anymore water damage to their home. We installed our water guard product to keep the moisture and humidity out of the area of the home and we also installed our sump pump to direct any water entering the basement to the outside of the home. If you or a family member are experiencing any of the same concerns, give us a call so that we can make it right!
This customer had water leaking into his crawlspace so bad that at one point there were 8 inches of standing water! We sent out our Specialist as soon as possible so that we could help diagnose the situation the best that we could. We ended up installing our crawlspace waterproofing product, clean space, once all of the water was removed. This is used to help keep the water from making any damage if any gets in, and it also helps keep the moisture and pests clear of the area.
We also installed a smart pipe and our sump pump to help keep any water out of the crawlspace. If any were to get in, the pump helps redirect the water through the smart pipe out of the crawlspace.
