Robin B. of Meridian, Idaho noticed that her home floors were uncomfortably cold. Upon further inspection it was determined that Robin’s vented dirt crawl space was not insulated properly, and had excess moisture that we causing her to be uncomfortable. 

Robin found Foundation SupportWorks of Idaho and made the call. An appointment was set for her to meet with one our System Design Specialists to inspect the crawl space and determine what could be done to make her home more comfortable and efficient, as well as address the excess moisture in the crawl space.

Our expert recommended that she install a CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System with SilverGlo insulation panels and a SaniDry dehumidifier.

SilverGlo is an insulation panel that is used to insulate the crawl space walls and help keep the cold, or hot, air out of the crawl space. Jason W. of Kuna was aware of the cracks in his basement walls but never really stopped twice think twice about the cracks being a huge issue. Last week we received a call from Chuck. Chuck was very upset when we first spoke. He told us about how he was trying to sell his house and was not having any luck. Chuck said “I don’t understand, it’s a 10 year old house in Eagle, it shouldn't be this hard to sell.” so we started to ask questions. It turns out that every time a prospective buyer would send an inspector to examine the house, the crawlspace wouldn’t pass. That’s why Chuck called us!

Chuck's home had standing water along the perimeter of the crawlspace and the black vapor barrier had been ripped down. Thankfully during that first call we were able to set an appointment with our System Design Specialist to visit Chuck and take a look at the affected area.

Our expert quickly put together a plan to remove all of the water from the crawl space and prevent this issue from ever coming back. First, suggested instalingl a SuperSump sump pump to remove the water from the crawl space and back out to the yard. However, because the water was standing along the perimeter of the crawl space we also needed to add a SmartPipe system to move that standing water the direction of the sump.

Now that the water was being removed from the space and diverted into the lawn we could move on to step two: Isolate the house from the earth. This is when we used our CleanSpace product! Most vapor barriers are 6 mil polyethylene that can easily rip and get holes poked in it when you crawl on it.  That’s not the case with CleanSpace! CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner, similar to pool liner, that can be fitted in your crawl space to completely seal off your home from the earth and moiture in the ground.

By the time we had finished with Chuck's crawl space, he was able to not only quickly sell the house, but he was able to get more than the original asking price! Chuck called us with the great news and to thank our system design specialist and the team for helping him out of this wet situation. 

Rose from Caldwell has lived in her home for over 25 years and the first time she found water in her crawl space she called a company to add a vapor barrier.  They told her the 6mil thick liner was the same liner everyone else installed in their homes and that was true. David from Boise spent all spring building his dream deck. David's brother in-law told him to dig a 3ft deep hole and fill it with concrete as the footing to support the structure above.  Because his brother in-law is a contractor, David took his advice. By the end of spring David had his dream patio finish just in time for the summer.

Summer storms left 6 inches of water in David's back yard turning it in to a swamp. When the water was gone David walked around inspecting the damage.  As he stood back away from the patio, he noticed it was lower on one end. He could see that the water had moved the soil down lower and now his newly built deck was less than perfect. Several helical piers were installed around the foundation of the house to help lift and stabilize the foundation to stop the cracks from spreading and getting worse. Melting snow and rain is great for Idaho, but bad for your property and can lead to water intrusion problems. This was the case when we received a call from the homeowner whose renter noticed water in his bedroom and bathroom in the basement.

Once the initial signs of water intrusion issues were recognized by the owner, our expert was able to go out and evaluate the home for solutions. We were contacted by homeowners in Eagle because their front porch had sunk a couple of inches. This sinking exposed the wood between the decorative stone and cement porch, which means the steps to the front entrance of their home were starting to ruin. With a quick call from the owners, our expert came to the scene to fix this issue for these concerned homeowners.

Once at the scene, our experts began installing push piers to stabilize and prevent the further sinking of the porch. At the time of installation, our experts were able to lift the porch back to its original position, making it look as if no sinking or damaged had even occurred. With our expert's immense knowledge of the situation, we were able to solve this problem for these property owners in a timely fashion.

A homeowner had just closed on her new home. She bought it just a few days prior to us coming to visit. Her mom had called us to schedule a time to look at the floor in the house. There was a slope that was present that made it feel as if having to go uphill when walking throughout the home. The owner wanted repairs done to the structural supports under the floor prior to the new flooring that she was going to put in.

The cause of this sagging floor was a floor joist that did not have adequate support. To fix this issue, our installers set up a SmartJack to provide stability and minimize the slope in the floor. Now, this new homeowner can lay the new floor with confidence that the slope will no longer be of an issue.

Homeowners were getting their house ready to sell when they noticed a musty smell. A homeowner in Boise noticed his foundation cracking and began wondering if his foundation was settling. There was a floor inside the house that was sagging, leaving a gap in a few places between the beautiful hardwood floor and the baseboards. A homeowner in Boise owns a lovely home. Surrounded by tall trees in a beautiful neighborhood, this homeowner's back porch had sunken a few inches and was continuing to slowly sink further, causing some of the decorative concrete on the porch to crack. Realizing that it is better to fix the problem earlier rather than later, the homeowner contacted us, hoping we could fix it.

After our design specialist analyzed the situation, he recommended helical piers to lift the porch. The homeowner accepted his advice and followed through with the project to lift the porch. We installed the piers and restabilize the porch.

Becky M. Basement was flooding they search for a solution and called Foundation Supportworks of Idaho and found that there was more to just flooding there was something wrong with her foundation/floor.

The major components for Becky was for Foundation Supportworks to install, CleanSpace, a SupPump and Smart Jack Beams.  which will completely enclose her basement and any water that may come in. The CleanSpace will essentially guide that water to the SupPump so that the pump can kick the water back out. Then the Jack Beams will make the floor above their basement level again and to make sure that it is always supported. 

Now Becky can enjoy a dry, functional basement again. Foundation Supportworks of Idaho was pleased that they could solve Becky's problem. 

Mr. Miller who lives in Eagle, ID was building a patio with a concrete foundation. He wanted us to install some Helical Piers to help stabilize the patio and to prevent any settling issues in the future. For this install, we put three Helical Piers in and the brackets are now able to stabilize the footings.  

Ms. Palmgren had a single crack in her foundation, and she wanted to keep water from getting into her crawlspace. So we dug out the crack by removing the soil around her foundation and sealed the crack with Flexicock. By doing this seal it will now prevent any water from getting into her crawlspace. 

Mr. Lind called because he had a concrete window well that was cracked and caving into the basement. So we excavated the soil behind the wall so we could get a better idea of what we were working with. The concrete wall was pushed off the footing by 5 1/2 inches. So we installed our Geo-Lock wall anchors, and we were able to straighten the wall and secure it from any further movement. Mr. Lind was very pleased that we could get the wall back to being straight.  

Mr. Ktkinson called because he had water coming into his basement. He lived in a manufactured home that was leaking. There were cinderblocks on one side of the home and new ones on the other side of the house. The foundation was on an older farm house-single wide. When they put the double-wide home on, it was leaking shortly after they had moved in 2004. So they called because they need it to get fixed!

We found that the water was coming in from their egress window, so to fix this we installed a new Egress window well duct, Sump Pump and Waterguard and The Basement To Beautiful Panels

We were able to lift and level out the corner of the house, which then pushed back the cracking into the bathroom. She was very happy to have the house back to being level as well as seeing the crack in her bathroom back together. 

Mr. Conley - Gave us a call to see if we could be the answer to his problem! He told us he called everyone and no one seemed to be able to help him with his retaining wall.

His retaining wall is attached to the back porch and it was slowly pulling away from the house. So we dug out as far as we could see the crack and sealed it with Flexi-Cock. And then we installed Helical Piers on both sides to lift it back up his retaining wall. Happy to say we Foundation Supportworks of Idaho was able to fix his problem! 

Mr. Jenkins's home was averaging 70% humidity in his crawlspace. He already had a water system installed. So we installed a Dehumidifier to bring the relative humidity to 55% inside his crawlspace 

Water was entering their basement through two-bedroom walls. We installed Waterguard, SuperSump Pump, Lawnscape, and Iceguard. 

The Waterguard was installed to drain the water to the SuperSump Pump. Lawnscape and Iceguard were installed to drain water away from the house and go towards the SuperSump Pump. 

A homeowner in Eagle noticed he had two cracks in his garage foundation. The cracks went all the way through the garage and into the stucco.

We installed four Helical Piers around the garage to lift and stabilize it. We also installed Landscape wells to move water away from the structure and have it go down towards the rain gutters.

The customer was having issues with mice just recently and started re-mouse proofing his home using Extruder materials to eliminate entry into the house and garage. While cleaning his garage, he found a crawl space issue, especially around the pipes leading from the hot water; there is a huge piece of wallboard missing which appears to have happened during either hot water or furnace repair so the craw space is open in the garage. He wanted to have his crawl space inspected for further issues and hopefully repaired as needed.

We sent our specialist out right away to find a solution. Once there, our specialist discovered that these customers had had a problem with water getting into their basement. This means that the ground outside the foundation walls was very saturated and not only causing his basement walls to fail but also allowed water into their home. The amount of weight and force against basement walls when the soils around the home are wet is enough to cause severe damage.

Our solution for our customer was to install our PowerBrace wall support system along with a full perimeter drainage system around his basement and CleanSpace down the walls to catch any water or moisture that could come in and guide it to the drainage system. These systems will ensure that not only will their basement stay permanently dry all of the time, that their walls are stabilized. The PowerBrace system can stop a wall, if caught in time, from moving forward anymore, and over time it can actually push the wall back to its original place by tightening the bracket installed at the top of each PowerBrace. 

Tony is interested in encapsulation, he is not impressed with the vapor barrier that was installed & has learned about encapsulation online. There were past humidity issues in the crawlspace causing the insulation to fall down. Our solution was cleanspace vapor barrier encapsulation with a sedona dehumidifier. As you can see there is also water coming down the footing and we are able to stop that concern with a smartpipe perimeter system and sump.

This homeowner called in with concerns about moisture and mold in the crawlspace.  The builders had checked for plumbing/pipe leaks and there were none; they suspect a high water table. There was no standing water, just moist, mushy ground throughout the crawlspace which can lead to mold and musty smells. 

Our solution was to waterproof the crawlspace with our perimeter Smartpipe drainage system and Smartsump. We also recommended our Sedona Sanidry to dehumidify and keep mold growth at bay. To finish off the system we would do our cleanspace vapor barrier as an added benefit of controlling the moisture. 

This homeowner has a house that had a basement dug out in it and was getting foundation leaks around some of the baseboards and on some of the drywall in the basement. The paint was bubbling and discolored which are signs of a wet basement, and you can see the dirt wall wet and crumbling.

They then got to work installing our SaniDry Sedona which is our dehumidifier to help with any humidity as well as our Condensate Pump for all the water that comes from the dehumidifier to go to the outside of the home. We also installed our SilverGlo insulation around the perimeter of the crawlspace walls to help with keeping some of the heat in so the floors do not get cold. After they were done installing everything the foreman on the job took some pictures and made sure everything was perfect and nothing looked wrong. The installers then started to make sure all the trash and unnecessary items were out of the crawlspace. While the foreman was talking to the homeowners and going over how the install when and making sure to show the homeowners to make sure everything looked okay to them. He then went over again on how all of the products work, before he left he made sure if the homeowner had any questions that they were answered. He also made sure the homeowners had a good phone number to call if they were having any issues or any questions. 

Did you know that there are animals out there that want to make your crawlspace their home? A recent customer of ours was having this issue. They then gave us a call and we got them on the schedule with one of our specialists. Once the specialist got out there he went into the crawlspace to figure out where their points of entry were. Once he was done with that he wrote up a proposal. Then he sat down with the homeowners and went over the proposal and answered any questions they might have. Upon looking in the crawlspace, our specialist found not only cracks in the foundation, but moisture in the crawlspace. Have you heard your friends or even your neighbors talking about having their crawlspace encapsulated and found it interesting?  A recent customer of our wanted to get their crawlspace encapsulated to be safe than sorry also to make sure everything down there was okay. They were unsure if they should do it themself or if they should call someone to come out and do it for them. They did some research and decided it would just be best to just call someone to come out and give them a quote to get it done. They did some more research on who they should call and use to get the work done the best and the fastest. They then found us and went through our website as well as looked at our previous jobs and decided to just give us a call. They then called us and we were more than happy to get them on our schedule to meet with our specialist Nick. 

     Nick then went out the the homeowners home and met with the homeowners and went over what the homeowners were looking for as well as get a price range on what they were looking for. After he was done talking to the homeowners he went into the crawlspace keeping in mind what the homeowners were looking for so he could give them the best quote possible. While he was down in the crawlspace he went ahead and took some measurements of the crawlspace as well as pictures of what was down there to show the homeowners.

   Once he was done in the crawlspace he went and sat down with the homeowners and wrote up a proposal of what product or products would work best for the homeowners and how much it is going to cost them.  He then went over the proposal and all the products that would be installed as well as some videos on how the products work as well as how they are installed. Once the homeowners had all their questions answered Nick left the home to give them some time to discuss and see if we are the right company to do the work. They then gave us a call and told us they would be more than happy to use our company. We then got them on the schedule to have our foreman and installers out to install the products that Nick proposed . 

     When the day finally came for us to go out and install the products our foreman Brandon sat down with Nick  in the morning while the other installers got the truck all ready with everything they will need. Nick and Brandon went over the job and make sure everything made since and Brandon didn't have any questions. Once they were done with that Brandon gave the homeowners a call to check in and let them know what time they are thinking they are going to arrive as well as answer any questions they might have had. They then made sure they had everything on their truck and a little extra to get them through the job. They then headed to the home, Once they got to the home the foreman met with the homeowners to go over the project one more time to make sure nothing was missed as well as how everything is going to be installed. He also made sure the homeowners did not have any further questions before they started the job. 

    While the foreman was talking to the homeowner the installers began unloading the truck and getting everything ready in the crawlspace or at the entrance of the crawlspace. When the foreman was done he ran over the job one more time with the installers to make sure they understood everything and had no further questions. They had four different products that we were installing. The first product they started to install was our SilverGlo insulation around the walls of the crawlspace to help insulate the crawlspace as well at the floors above. The next product they started to install was our TripleSafe SumpPump, they had to dig out a hole deep enough to put the pump in so while they were installing the rest of the products the pump could start pulling water. The also installed our discharge line from the sump to the outside of the home as well as well our IceGuard to the outside so when it freezes the water can still get out and does not overflow and flood the crawlspace. They then started to install our CleanSpace product over all the dirt to separate the home from the earth and make sure the crawlspace was completely encapsulated. Our CleanSpace product helps drastically reduce the humidity level which helps eliminate mold as well as wood rot in the crawlspace. They made sure all of the edges of the CleanSpace were taped about 3 inches up the wall to fully encapsulate, they also made sure the CleanSpace that was around the piers in the crawlspace were completely sealed off. They then installed our Sedona dehumidifier and connected the discharge line to the sump. The last think they installed was our SmartJack to help permanently lift the one spot in their kitchen that was sagging. 

    Once they were done installing everything the foreman took pictures as well as making sure everything looked okay and all the CleanSpace was taped down and nothing was open and no dirt could be seen. He also made sure all the other products were working the right way and there was no water entering the crawlspace. He then went and talked to the homeowners about the product as well as showed then the pictures of the final product. While the foreman was talking to the homeowners the installers were cleaning up the crawlspace and putting everything in the truck and doing one final walk through to take sure all the trach was taken out as well as making sure the CleanSpace look the best it could and making sure the Pump and the Sedona were working correctly. 

Are your floors colder than normal in the winter time? A recent customer of ours reached out to us about this issue. They realized there was no insulation in the crawlspace. They were unsure what company to use as well as what insulation they should use. They did some further research on it and call a few places they called us. When they gave us a call they explained their concerned and we were more than happy to get them on the schedule to meet with out specialist Dominic. We then sent out a little packet in the mail that had some background information on our company as well as the specialist Dominic. Two days before the appointment Dominic called the homeowners to confirm the appointment as well as confirm the address. 

  Once Dominic got to the home he met with the homeowners to sit down a discuss what their main concerns were, what their price range is. He also made sure he asked the homeowners what they were looking for. He then went down into the crawlspace to take a look at what was going on. He then quickly noticed there was no insulation around the perimeter of the crawlspace walls. He then took some pictures as well as measurement to make sure he can write up the most accurate estimate for the homeowners. Once he was done with that he met the homeowners back inside to sit down and write up a proposal. While he was writing up the proposal for our SilverGlo insulation he went through every step with the homeowners. He then went back over the proposal with them to make sure everything was how they wanted as well as show some videos on how the SilverGlo is installed. Before he left the house he made sure the homeowners were happy with everything and had no questions. Once Dominic had left the homeowners were weighing out the pros and cons between us and another company. They decided it would be best to go with us. They called the office to let us know they would like to move forward and we were more than happy to get them on the install schedule. 

  Once they were on the install schedule we assigned the job to one of our foreman and his team. The foreman on the job was Cory, the morning the project was scheduled to start Cory gave the homeowners a call to introduce himself as well as give them an estimated time of arrival. Once he was done with that he sat down with Dominic to go over the project as well as make sure there was nothing that fell through the cracks. After that the foreman and his installer started to load up their truck with everything thing they needed and a little more. They then left to head to the home, once they got to the home the foreman Cory met with the homeowners and introduce himself in person. He then walked the homeowners through the project one last time and showed them where the SilverGlo was going to go. While he was talking to the homeowners the installer started to unload everything they needed from the truck. Once Cory was done with the homeowners he started to help his installer unload the truck and take everything to the crawlspace. 

  Once they got everything they needed off the truck they started to start installing the SilverGlo. Our SilverGlo is expanded polystyrene insulation with graphite infused into it. With the graphite infused the heat reflects and lowers the material's conductivity. Half way through the installation Cory the foreman did a mid day check in with the homeowners to let them know how the project was going as well as how much longer they have till they are done. Once they were done installing the SilverGlo the installer started to clean up and take stuff back to the truck while the foreman took pictures and made sure everything was done the right way and the best way. He then met with the homeowners one last time to show them the pictures of the SilverGlo as well as gave them a card with the installation date and a phone number they can call if they are having any issues with it. Once he was done with that he helped the installer finish cleaning out the crawlspace and getting everything ready to go.

We sent out our System Design Specialist to meet with the homeowners, and then to take a look in the crawlspace. After he crawled through and looked around, he found the source of the water leak and knew just what products of ours could help the homeowners. He wrote up a proposal for them, detailing what he found, the products he recommended, the price, and how the products would be installed. After gaining the homeowners approval, we sent our foreman out to install our SumpPump and SmartPipe to collect and pump any water from the crawlspace outside of the home. 

Have you see water in your crawlspace? Jeff a recent customer of ours noticed water coming into his crawlspace and did not know what to do. He wasn't sure if it was a big problem since it was winter and the ground and some of the water was frozen. He decided he should probably do some research to figure out if he should wait or just have someone come out anyways. While doing his research he came across our company and decided to give us a call because we fix what he was experiencing. He then gave us a call and explained all of his concerns and we let him know it is free for us to come out and it would be better to do it sooner than later. We then got him on the schedule to meet with our specialist Tim. Two days before the appointment Tim gave Jeff a call to make sure the appointment time and date still worked with him as well as introduce himself to Jeff. 

   On the day of the appointment Tim gave Jeff a call right before he left the office to let him know he was on his way and that he would be there at the scheduled time. Once Tim got to the home he met with the homeowners inside the home to go over their concerns as well as ask some questions. Once Tim knew the homeowners concerns he went down into the crawlspace to try and figure out the best option and products for them. Once he got down there he started by taking measurements as well as pictures. While he was doing all that he was also trying to figure out what products would he the homeowners in the long run. Once he was done with all that and got out of the crawlspace he sat down with the homeowners and went over what he found. He then started to write up the proposal with the homeowners, while he was doing that he was also showing each product and how they are installed as well. Once he was done writing up the proposal he went over it with the homeowners and made sure they didn't have any questions before he left. 

   The morning the job was scheduled to start the foreman on the job Cory sat down with Tim to go over the project to make sure everything was going to go as smoothly as possible. Tim also answered any questions Cory had about the job. While they were going over the job the co-foreman Aidan was making sure everything was in the truck and ready to go. When Cory and Tim where done going over the job Cory went to make sure everything they needed and some was all loaded in the truck. Right before they left Cory called Jeff to let him know they were about to leave the office and also gave him a time of arrival. Once they got to the home they met with the homeowners to introduce themselves. Cory and the homeowners then went over the job one more time to make sure they had no new questions and make sure everyone was on the same page. He also let the homeowners know that he would be doing mid-day and end of day check in with them to let them know where they are in the job.

     While Cory was with the homeowners Aidan was unloading everything they were going to need the first day on the job and setting it up by the entrance of the crawlspace.
