Have you or someone you know ever had uneven, bouncy floors? Windows and doors that get stuck when opening or closing? Interior wall cracks? These are several of the signs of sagging and settling floors. Potential causes for these types of problems are: the support columns are too far apart from each other and cannot adequately support the weight, the support beams are not installed correctly or are too weak, or the supports have settled. Any of these causes are not to be ignored and should be solved sooner rather than later!
The family in this Mountain Home house had the unfortunate problem of their house supports not being strong enough to support all the weight of the house. This was causing several areas in their home to sag and be uneven. This greatly worried the homeowners who quickly contacted us to come out and fix their problem before it could get worse.
Our SmartJacks were designed exactly for situations like these! The newly installed SmartJacks provided better and stronger support to the house, especially the sections that were sagging. Since our SmartJacks were installed, the floor became leveled, as if nothing had happened at all! This put a smile on the faces of the now relieved family! SmartJacks saved the day for these homeowners!
Homeowners were concered with vertical cracks in their foundation. There was no moisture, water leaks, or cracks in the drywall of the interior, but they were concered that these could become a problem if the vertical foundation cracks worsened. They gave us a call and we sent out our expert quickly to evaluate the issue.
With a quick assesment from the expert it was decided that FlexiSpan and CarbonArmor would be used to repair the cracks. FlexiSpan is able to hold its strength, even if the foundation shifts, sealing the cracks and preventing water leaks in the future. The CarbonArmor was installed and used to prevent the cracks from growing and expanding. These concerned homeowners are now worry free of any potential damage that could of resulted from these vertical foundation cracks.

We installed Smartjacks along the sagging floor joists as well as the post on the back porch. We also installed Waterguard in the basement due to water intrusion that happening.

Leaking basements are a thing in the past! We have a solution that will keep your basement dry for good! Let talk about WaterGuard®
The WaterGuard® basement waterproofing system from Basement Systems is an innovative interior basement drainage system designed to effectively solve your basement water problems. When combined with our sump pumps and other waterproofing products, WaterGuard will keep your basement clean and dry year-round.
Unlike conventional French drains that are installed outside the foundation or alongside the footing, WaterGuard drainage piping is installed inside the basement and won't clog with silt or plant roots.
WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. Water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to your sump pump.
Basement Systems recommends installing WaterGuard along with our TripleSafe™ sump pump system for optimum protection.
Our complete basement waterproofing system offers everything you need to keep water out of your basement.
Homeowners prefer WaterGuard's discreet design. The drainage channel is hidden beneath a layer of concrete. Only the top edge of the wall flange is visible, so you'll hardly know it's there. Plus, WaterGuard comes with a 20-year warranty against clogs.
The WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system has a patented profile that includes:

A homeowner in Mountain Home was concerned about his crawl space and called us to check it out. After our expert inspected the space, it was determined that the crawl space was having moisture problems. Moisture leads to mold which is not something anyone wants in their home! After coming up with a plan the homeowner agreed to, our crew got to work to keep moisture out of this crawl space.
Our Installation crew began by sealing the vents with our Vent Covers. Open vents in a crawl space do not benefit your home in any way, they only cause more problems by allowing outside air and moisture to seep in. Next the crew installed our CleanSpace Liner to provide the space with a vapor barrier. To finish this job, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was put in. This dehumidifier keeps the air dry, and musty odor free.
This once wet crawl space is now drier and healthier! Another happy homeowner in the books. Reach out to us at Foundation & Crawl Space Repair of Idaho. We'd love to make your crawl space or basement dry, too!

Foundation problems are serious. Call us today to see how we can help!
This homeowner has live in their home since it was first built in 2006. Then, two years ago, she noticed that her home was starting to sink. She worried about expensive fixes down the road, since a sinking foundation can often bring many issues with cracked walls, sagging floors, and trapped moisture. These issues can lead to floor failure, wood rot, mold, and an endless list of health and safety concern long-term for the homeowner. She decided to call us for a free estimate, and we sent out a System Design Specialist to take a look.
Our proposal for this homeowner wasn't "random," as some of our competitors' can be—it was a comprehensive and permanent solution for her concerns for the future! It included:
First, we installed two SmartJacks© to reinforce the home, which could otherwise cause floor sagging or even floor failure. Our SmartJack© System is installed with engineered fill that addresses problem soils, and has an adjustable design to enable a custom fit for every SmartJack©. Basically? These supports aren't going anywhere for a long, long time.
To remove water from her crawl space, she needed a sump pump. There's no smarter choice for a crawl space sump pump than SmartSump™! It provides an airtight floor drain that lets water down, but damp air can't come up into the crawl space. It also provides an alarm for power failures or plumbing leaks. Paired with our innovative Starpipe© drainage system and IceGuard©, this homeowner is well-prepared for Idaho's wet season for decades to come.
Our CleanSpace© encapsulation system is one of a kind in the market. Industry standard liner for your crawl space can be as thin as 9 mil, and break when you crawl on top of it. A pretty bad standard for a crawl space, right? That's why we use 20 mil liner, which is manufactured with antimicrobial properties to protect your home against unwanted bacteria. This thick liner, alongside proper installation, is a permanent upgrade to the homeowner's crawl space. It seals off the home from the earth, moisture, critters, and even makes the crawl space a hospitable place for extra storage! To keep the area dry long-term, we also installed SaniDry© Sedona, which is the most powerful dehumidifier in the market for its compact size—perfect for a crawl space.
After approval and installation, the homeowner immediately saw results with cleaner air and less humidity in her home, as well as permanent support for the areas her home was starting to sink. She's especially glad that she won't have to worry about more costly repairs in the future by acting proactively now. After living in their home for over 30 years, this homeowner began to notice a crumbling wall in their basement. They were worried about the longevity of their home if the collapse were to continue. So, they decided to set an appointment with one of our System Design Specialists. After giving a free inspection, the System Design Specialist created a free estimate of work for a permanent fix. After careful consideration, the homeowner accepted their proposal! When installation day came, we got to work.
To permanently stabilize even the most extreme failing foundation walls, we choose our EverBrace Wall Restoration System. First, we clear and prepare the area and install the top track below the first-floor floor joists. Then, we cut and hang steel panels, customized to fit around windows, doors, and other obstacles, and install posts in front of the wall. These steel corrugated panels span between steel I-beams to strengthen the existing structure. Lastly, a specialized, rigid foam is injected behind the steel panels, filling voids between the existing wall and panels, transferring the load from the failing wall to the new support system. From there, the EverBrace Wall Restoration System is complete!
As a result, this homeowner finally has the peace of mind that their once-failing basement wall will last as long as the home does, and can easily be concealed by drywall if the homeowner decides to finish their basement in the future. If you'd like a free estimate for your home, contact us today!
