They called us for a free estimate, and, after making an appointment, our System Design Specialist visited the home and drew up a proposal.

This homeowner has lived in their home for over 15 years, but in the past 3 years, they noticed that there was water in the basement. It's leaked at least 3 times over those past 3 years, and, while the damage hasn't been too bad yet, the homeowner plans to live in their home forever. So, they needed to address it sooner than later. They called us to see if we could help, and our System Design Specialist suggested a great solution. 

First, we would need a way to get rid of the water coming into the basement. We'd install an exterior discharge line and a Lawnscape Well, a special underground downspout extension that sends water away from the foundation while camouflaging the end of the pipe. It has a removable lid for easy cleaning, and will ensure your foundation is safe and dry, no matter how much water is coming in. We'd even install an IceGuard, which ensures that water will flow all year long, even when the weather is icy. Second, we'd install drainage to ensure all the excess water that gets into the basement is drained directly into the sump pump. We'd do this with our WaterGuard, an anticlogging pipage system that's installed beneath walls, and our TrenchDrain, a drain beneath doorways and stairways to drain water into the sump pump. Third, we'd install the most important part of the waterproofing system—the SuperSump. It includes a high-end 1/2 hp Zoeller cast iron pump with a mechanical float switch, which pumps 2,650 gallons an hour smoothly and quietly. It resists clogging and can pump up to 1/2 inch solids, and will perform reliably for many years. It also has a WaterWatch Alarm System that will sound off when water rises above a certain point, and provides ample warning to address problems before damage occurs. Its airtight lid also keeps moisture from evaporating back into your basement environment, and keeps out bugs, odors, and radon gas while quieting the pump. 

This resolution would be a permanent solution to the homeowner's moisture issues, and ensure that problems like mold, wood rot, and critters wouldn't  occur, making her basement a nasty place to live and spend time in.
