To ensure that this wet basement stays dry, we installed a full-perimeter drainage system with WaterGuard, specifically engineered to drain groundwater. It drains into our TripleSafe sump pump system, the world's most reliable pumping system. It includes three pumps to provide protection against the three common reasons why basements flood: pump failure, power failure, and a single pump being unable to keep up with water volume in hard rain. From there, we added basement insulation that includes a vapor barrier and R-11 SilverGlo graphite-infused foam insulation, as well as studs and wire chases for easy basement finishing. Now, this basement will stay dry and warm for years to come!
